The Jazz Centre UK, SOS 🎺🎷

A few weeks ago I took myself on a lil solo trip to The Jazz Centre, SOS, which is located within Beecroft Art Gallery on Victoria Avenue.

I was in need of some inspiration and well, needless to say it definitely did the job!! Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely gentleman who proceeded to guide me around the museum and went into depths of the history of the donations, alongside how jazz has such an ingrained history within Southend/South Essex.

I took my time looking through the many books, vinyls, CD’s and posters, and it was amazing to see the work the team have done to present the mound donations so beautifully.

If you have yet to do so, or haven’t done so recently, I highly recommend taking a visit with no time restraints. Since my last visit a long time ago, it has become an amazing space and I believe they also host live acts there too!! So get yourselves down there and show them some love and support!
